Adios, amigos!

Well folks, I'm a year old now, and as you can see I am swamped with things to do - number one on the list is to figure out the whole 'walking' thing. As much fun as I've had with my blog, its time for me to move on. I know, I know. You're going to miss me. Well, don't feel too terribly bad. Look at this as an opportunity to regain a small portion of your life back! Alternatively you can keep an eye out for me at the Chard Yard.

I'm ONE YEAR old!

That's 12 months for those of you keeping track of it that way. Today was a happy and eventful day, complete with singing, presents, visitors, my very own homemade cake, and my first taste if ice cream. It took me awhile to come down off all that sugar but I'm finally asleep and dreaming of all the fun new toys I get to play with tomorrow. Thank you to my family and friends for all you did to make my birthday so special!

ROAARRR!

For Halloween I dressed up as a lion. I was hoping to look scary, but how can I with cheeks like this?

Babe's Eye View

Yesterday Daddy and I explored some new territory - the roof of the shed that we call the "chicken coop" (which is kind of a weird name since we don't have any chickens). It looks pretty scary, but after all it IS Halloween!!

HAY! Um... er... I guess, technically, it's straw.

Today we went to the USU homecoming football game and then afterward to the American West Heritage Center. I haven't had this much fun in one day since Sarah Palin was on SNL! To see more pictures, click here.

On my own two feet

Sit tight - this is a long one. Turns out Mamma was waiting for me to do a cartwheel. I told her maybe next year.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!

My Mommy, my buddy, my hero. Yesterday was my mommy's birthday. Daddy made her a tasty breakfast and we got to spend a wonderful, BEAUTIFUL day hanging out in the yard and at the apple orchard with some friends. Daddy also made dinner AND a birthday cake. Our nice neighbors Phil and Barb joined us for the evening festivities.

Hooray for October!

Friday fun at home with Mom

Daddy had to work all day on Friday so Mommy and I hung out and enjoyed the last bit of nice weather. On Saturday it rained and snowed all day and it's snowing again today. Thanks for the fun Halloween sweatshirt, Nana!

I am blessed

I already knew that I was blessed - with a loving family, good health, and a cozy place to live - but I guess there's something to be said for ceremony. While Nana and Papa were still here, Grandma Debby, Grandpa Dale and Aunt Brooke and her family all gathered around me to bestow their blessings and to officially welcome me to the family and the world. Some of our family couldn't be there, but they sent me blessings in the mail (thank you! - you know who you are). It was a beautiful fall day and the Blacksmith Fork River water was invigorating, to say the least.

My first river trip

Last weekend I spent 3 days and two nights experiencing my very first river trip. I was the youngest of 15 passengers, but the next-youngest floater is only 6 weeks older than me! Nana and Papa were with us, too.

Saddle Up

They say that this horse "sucks" but I think it's a pretty good ride.

Who needs sticks and rocks?

I was crawling around outside, exploring the rocks in the path and the little twigs in the grass when I saw it -- That tripod sprinkler called my name louder than any toy, fan, mammary or cell phone ever did. In seconds I sprint-crawled my way to it, pulled myself up on the tripod, and blissfully grabbed the powerful water stream with my bare hands. Yes, that water was cold, but that didn't faze me. I just HAD to feel the spray on my hands... and my face and my belly and my legs and my....

More good times in BF Canyon

We went for a hike in Blacksmith Fork Canyon over the weekend, then stopped at the Shenoah Picnic Area to let the dogs and me play in the river.

I sure like hanging out in my yard.
